Each year our Child Support Professionals work with thousands of parents in San Bernardino County to help the children in our community receive the monetary support needed to thrive and prosper. Our mission is to partner with parents and the community in delivering reliable child support services\, and each day presents a unique opportunity to make a positive difference in the lives of children. \n WE ARE HIRING FOR THE FOLLOWING TWO CLASSIFICATIONS: \n\n\n\nChild Support Specialist Trainee*\n$21.40 – $28.74 Hourly\n$44\,512.00 – $59\,779.20 Annually \n\n\nChild Support Specialist I*\n$24.49 – $33.66 Hourly\n$50\,939.20 – $70\,012.80 Annually \n\n\nDuties: Child Support Specialists* provide a variety of child support services to help parents meet their mutual obligation in providing financial and medical support for their children. Trainees will learn to assess cases\, establish parentage\, evaluate the financial circumstances of both parents\, and offer solutions for removing barriers to pay child support.\n Promotion: Incumbents in the class of Child Support Specialist Trainee* are eligible for promotion to Child Support Specialist I* upon meeting the minimum qualifications for Child Support Specialist I* and upon receipt of a satisfactory work progress report.
